It all started with a man named Ralph D. Winter. Tasked with figuring out how to publish valuable missiological information, he founded William Carey Library Publishers (affectionately just called William Carey Library or WCL by most) in 1969 working from his house in Pasadena, California. The entire family joined in, shipping books from the garage.
So I woke up this morning after months of onslaught... there is no other word for the recent deluge of work, challenges, and bears, oh my! It's been intense, and I bet you are feeling like that too. Yet today I woke up and for the first time in months my heart said:
"Hand me a jawbone Lord, I'm ready to get back in the battle!"
William Carey Publishing is pleased to share the results of the CatalystServices.org readers’ survey for Top Missions Books of 2018 and the Wilson’s book “Pipeline: Engaging the Church in Missionary Mobilization” and Tim Shultz’s book “Disciple Making Among Hindus” were both chosen as “must read” missions books.
We are still doing the same great work, we're just doing it in a new place, with a new name, new website, and new-ish logo.
To move forward with clarity we are rolling out the new name in a rebranding campaign 
as we move toward our 50th anniversary next year.
From here on out, we will be known as William Carey Publishing.
