Antonia van der Meer
Antonia Leonora van der Meer, Brazilian with a Dutch background, served with IFES for many years in Brazil and Angola. Now at the Evangelical Missions Center in Brazil, she is development coordinator, dean, teacher, and mentor. She has a master’s in theology at the Baptist Brazilian Theological Faculty in São Paulo and a doctorate in missiology at the Asia Graduate School of Theology in the Philippines. She has published several articles in Connections: The Journal of the WEA Mission Commission, in Global Missiology for the Twenty-first Century, in the Brazilian version of Perspectives, in Doing Member Care Well, in The Dictionary of Mission Theology, and in the Atlas of Global Christianity. She wrote several books in Portuguese: an inductive Bible study (ABUEditora), a personal missionary story (Eu, um Missionário?), and a book on caring for Brazilian missionaries in contexts of suffering (Missionários Feridos).
