Publishing Assistant (25 hours/week): 

The Publishing Assistant would be our frontline customer service representative, answering phone calls and emails to satisfy order requests and general questions. A secondary aspect of this team member's position would be to facilitate the logistics of our book production process by helping support the ordering related to conferences, events, and regular production; as well as to participate in the registration process for our books; and to engage in the distribution process of each title that we release. 

The ideal candidate must have a cheerful personality, healthy problem solving skills, some technical savvy to be able to effectively interact with our website and other site-based systems, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to deal with deadlines, and feel comfortable multi-tasking. This person must understand, own, and be excited by the reality that getting details done makes the big picture Kingdom work come together!

Marketing Consultant (3-month contract of 20-25 hrs weekly, which may lead to a position on staff)

Do you have a passion for missions, a savvy when it comes to marketing platforms and processes? Do you love writing copy and creating campaigns? Do you dork-out on the analytics and come up with clever ways to do things better the next time around? If so, then we have a roll for you where you can put your skills to a Kingdom purpose. 

The Marketing Consultant would be working with William Carey Publishing to develop marketing copy for individual book promotions as well as corporate (multi-book) promotions. This individual would have deep experience with platforms like Mailchimp and Google Analytics and have a hunger to create compelling marketing campaigns that drive sales and increase our impact for the Kingdom.

A passion for and understanding of missions are two must-have qualities because connecting with our niche audience is so central to the roll. We make books for missionaries, mission professors, and the mission-interested. "Getting" who our buyers are will be vital in understanding how to write to them effectively.
