Antonia van der Meer

Antonia Leonora van der Meer, Brazilian with a Dutch background, served with IFES for
many years in Brazil and Angola. Now at the Evangelical Missions Center in Brazil, she is
development coordinator, dean, teacher, and mentor. She has a master’s in theology at the
Baptist Brazilian Theological Faculty in São Paulo and a doctorate in missiology at the Asia
Graduate School of Theology in the Philippines. She has published several articles in Connections:

, in Global Missiology for the Twenty-first

, in the Brazilian version of Perspectives, in Doing Member Care Well, in The Dictionary
of Mission Theology
, and in the Atlas of Global Christianity. She wrote several books in
Portuguese: an inductive Bible study (ABUEditora), a personal missionary story (Eu, um

), and a book on caring for Brazilian missionaries in contexts of suffering (Missionários
Feridos
).
