I believe that since 9/11, there is a titanic struggle going on in the heavenly realms. It is a struggle that most Christians are completely unaware is taking place. It is not a struggle between Muslims and Christians or between Muslims and the West. Rather, I am talking about a struggle within Christianity itself, a struggle for the soul of the Christian faith. There are both enthusiasts and mild skeptics of the proposal that the great increase in the number of Evangelicals in the Global South will translate into a great increase in pioneer church planters among unengaged Muslims. About the Author: J. Dudley Woodberry is Dean Emeritus and Senior Professor of Islamic Studies at the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He has served with his wife and three sons at the Christian Study Centre in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and as a pastor in Kabul, Afghanistan and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
